Pansy (Viola �wittrockiana) a "man-made" hybrid developed from cross- breeding various species of the Viola flower. The name Pansy is derived from the french word pensee, which means thought or remembrance.

The always cheerful pansy basking in the sunlight of the evening sunset. You can find these delightfully fragrant and colorful flowers in many winter gardens and containers in the south and southwest, where they happily bloom from fall to spring. For summer weather, pansies are better suited for northern climates.
